	With just a couple of clicks, you can make unique and creative cartoon or sketch images that don't bog down your processor. Lines can be any color you'd like them to be using the Edge Coloring tools, and inserting a background color or overlay is a snap with the background color sliders.

How is Edge Detective different from tools already found in Vegas and Vegas Movie Studio?

Edge Detective offers algorithms not accessible inside of either Vegas product. Additionally, while you can indeed generate somewhat similar looks in Vegas, it requires multiple plug in tools, and a fair amount of tweaking to get close to the same image. The playback framerate when using these plug in chains is significantly lower and more processor-intensive than is the Edge Detective tool.

Edge Detective's Canny Algorithm is not available inside of Sony Vegas, although a similar appearance can be created using a variety of tools. Edge Detective also auto-creates an Alpha channel where in Vegas, it requires other tools to create the alpha channel, and Edge Detective also allows the choice of color channel/vector channel, which Vegas does not offer.
